Information of the Action: |
The action concerns the procurement and installation of Air Navigation Systems, in order to relocate the Athens Approach Service, from the complex of buildings of the Athens and Macedonia Area Control Centers, to premises of building #32 of the Athens International Airport (AIA).
The supply includes:
- Main and back-up Voice Communications System
- Dual Digital System of Air Navigation Voice & Data Recording & Playback
- Time Reference System and Clocks
- Technical Monitoring and Control System
- Aeronautical Voice & Data Network (AVDN)
- Consoles for Working Positions
The action aims to modernize Air Navigation, as well as to comply with international standards, providing the maximum possible safety in Air Traffic Management, for the needs of the Athens Control Tower and Approach Services, which manage civil and military aircraft flights.
With the supply and installation of new Voice Communications and Recording Systems, the most effective management of Air Traffic is achieved, while ensuring in this way the service of the continuous upward air traffic of AIA, with the maximum possible benefit/cost ratio.
This procurement will achieve the implementation of Voice over IP (VoIP) technological requirements at European and National level and the abolition of obsolete circuits of the telecommunications provider.
